The Kitty and the Swallow
Merci à David pour ce nouveau texte magnifique :-)
The Kitty and the Swallow
Watching the pretty kitty
A sphinx, the hairless beauty
No better feeling than petting
The smooth skin of this cutie
Enter the swallow flying near
Round and round about the tree
From limb to limb darting about
Turn your head you miss the swallow sea
The moment the sphinx saw the swallow
She raced to the tree near the quay
She chased the sea swallow up and down
Amidst the salty white sea-spray
Flickering around the kitty
In and out as she slowly rises
Higher and higher in pursuit
Until she reaches the peak
The sphinx set to come down the tree
At last ready to pounce on her prey
Tired from slowly rising higher
Wet with sea mist turning head away
In the blink of the sphinx’s eye
She missed the disappearing swallow
Slowly down the tree in pure ecstasy
from the chase and what followed
